Share on Facebook Share on Twitter POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG/RECAP: On the February 11 episode of “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids,” four celebrity kids will perform as the icons they picked last week. This weekend’s show will be exciting. The following kids got interesting icons to imitate: Lyca as Freddie Aguilar, AC as Usher, Xia as Pilita Corrales and Alonzo as Jon Bon Jovi. Last week’s winner, Sam Shoaf picked Prince, while Awra got Shakira. Elha picked Sia, which will like be easy for her with her voice. Justin on the other hand picked Rod Stewart. #YFSFUnbeatableKids Alonzo Muhlach As Jon Bon Jovi Child wonder Alonzo Muhlach, during rehearsals, said that this was his first time to get a rocker for an icon. He shared his excitement and he also said that he loved his song choice. He came on stage singing “It’s My Life.” Judge Ogie first gave his comments. He said that this was one of his most favorite performances of Alonzo. He especially loved all the head banging. For judge Gary, he commented that through Alonzo’s body movements, he saw his expression as a rocker. Sharon agreed with Ogie, saying that this was one of Alonzo’s best performances. #YFSFUnbeatableKids Lyca Gairanod As Freddie Aguilar This is Lyca’s first male icon she will imitate. She said before her performance that this was challenging because Freddie was a great OPM icon. She performed Freddie Aguilar’s “Anak.” Sharon said that she was surprised, but that she loved Lyca’s performance. Gary appreciated how she studied how Freddie Aguilar moved when he sings. He also commended her for imitating Freddie’s voice very well. Ogie agreed with Gary that she was able to get Freddie’s moves during her performance. #YFSFUnbeatableKids Sam Shoaf As Prince Last week’s winner, Sam Shoaf, picked Prince as his icon. Sam described Prince as a very unique artist. His vocal coach told Sam that Prince was like a male Lady Gaga. Sam appeared on stage to sing Prince’s version of “Kiss.” Ogie praised him for getting Prince’s subtleties. Gary on the other hand noted that Prince was a unique, rare and one of a kind artist. He then said that all of this, he saw in Sam’s performance tonight. Sharon simply said that Sam was so great in his performance. #YFSFUnbeatableKids Awra Briguela As Shakira Awra said that he grew up listening to Shakira. During rehearsals, he practiced Shakira’s song “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).” The coaches told Awra that Shakira was always energetic in her performances. Ogie said that he was very impressed with Awra’s talent. He also noted how much Awra loved his performance tonight and that it was one of his best. Sharon gave Awra a standing ovation, the second one she gave tonight.
