'Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids' Feb. 12 Episode: Week 6 Winner Is AC Bonifacio As Usher

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG/RECAP: On the February 12 episode of “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids,” four more celebrity kids will perform. Fan favorite Xia Vigor will be imitating Pilita Corrales, while AC Bonifacio will be a male icon tonight, Usher. Elha picked Sia, which will be easy considering her vocal chops. Justin will perform as Rod Stewart.

Xia Vigor this week picked a legendary OPM idol, Pilita Corrales. During rehearsals, she was being taught a Cebuano song that was popularized by Pilita. While she was struggling with the language, she got extra help from Pilita herself. Xia visited her and she got tips on how to move on stage.

After her performance, Sharon acknowledged how Xia puts in 100 percent effort in everything she does. Her performance was very entertaining as always. Judge Gary said that when he saw Pilita, he said that this will challenge Xia, but as always she put in her best effort. Ogie, on the other hand, said that Xia has what he calls “tunaw” factor. He also said he was happy that Xia was able to meet Pilita herself.

Justin Alva got to pick Rod Stewart, British rock icon. He said that he knew the artist well. During rehearsals, their movement coach taught him that Rod Stewart was very expressive whenever he performs. Justin came on stage singing “I Don’t Wanna Talk About It.”

Judge Sharon said that this was her most favorite performance of Justin, adding how “galing” Justin was. Ogie noted that Rod Stewart really moves that way and Justin was able to get his moves. Gary expressed how impressed he was in how Justin was able to sound and move like Rod Stewart.

Belter Elha Nympha got to pick Australian singer, Sia. Because Sia performs without much movement, this was going to be a performance that is all about singing like Sia. She came on stage with hair like Sia and sang “Titanium.”

Ogie praised for her God-given talent. However, he said that he was not able hear that she was able to simulate Sia’s voice exactly. Gary slightly disagreed with Ogie, because he loved this version of the song better. Sharon said she was looking for something more, but thanked her for a “wonderful” performance.

Dance sweetheart AC Bonifacio will perform as male icon, Usher. This is her first time to get a male role. As expected the dance moves were a piece of cake. During rehearsals, she said that the hardest part was to sound like Usher. She performed “DJ Got Us Falling In Love” which impressed the judges and the audience.

Sharon thanked AC for a very good and entertaining performance. Ogie said he was a bit envious that AC could perform with such energy and talent. He also commended her for getting all the moves of Usher, without any trace of femininity. Gary called AC: “Amazingly Contagious.” He said that he finally got to see her doing her thing.

Getting 24 stars from the judges, dance sweetheart AC Bonifacio is the weekly winner for week 6. She is followed by Sam and Justin in this week’s scoreboard.
