POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG/RECAP: Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids episode on March 18 marks the start of another exciting weekend. This week, the celebrity kids will face a different set of challenges with their icons. Who will wow the judges this week?

Fans will get to see leading celebrity kid Elha Nympha as Tracy Chapman, while fan favorite Xia Vigor will be Aaron Carter. Sam Shoaf will take on Enrique Iglesias while Justin Alva will imitate Charlie Puth. Another favorite, Awra Briguela, will likely give another comedic performance as Elizabeth Ramsey. AC Bonifacio may find imitating Janet Jackson as easy feat, or not. Lyca Gairanod will perform as Jaya and Alonzo Muhlach got Lou Bega.

#YFSFGiftedKids Xia Vigor As Aaron Carter

Fan favorite Xia Vigor picked another male icon – this time, one closer to her age. During rehearsals, she got tips from the coaches on how to sing like Aaron Carter and how to act like him. She performed Carter’s 1997 hit, Crush On You.

Then the jury members shared their comments. Judge Sharon called it “another cute performance” and Xia never fails to entertain. Judge Gary congratulated her for giving a convincing performance because she used her imagination. Judge Ogie said they always get cuteness overload every time Xia performs.

#YFSFGiftedKids Lyca Gairanod As Jaya

Lyca Gairanod got another OPM icon, Jaya. After getting advice from the coaches, Lyca was also lucky to be coached by Jaya herself. Jaya gave her some tips on how to move like her on stage. Lyca then went on stage to sing Wala Na Bang Pag-Ibig, a classic Jaya song.

Before the judges spoke about her performance, host Billy Crawford called Jaya on stage. Jaya commended Lyca for imitating her successfully. Ogie agreed with Jaya, saying that Lyca got the signature moves of the singer. Sharon said she saw Jaya tonight and not Lyca. Gary praised her for her performance saying that he sees a lot of potential in her, especially if she makes use of her life experiences as the source of her music.

#YFSFGiftedKids Sam Shoaf As Enrique Iglesias

Talented cutie Sam Shoaf takes a break from dancing and grooving tonight. He picked Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias. The show’s coaches described the singer as emotional and intense in the way he performs. He came on stage looking very much like the icon, and sang I Can Be Your Hero.

Ogie said that Sam surprised him tonight, because he gave such an intense performance. Gary was also impressed, because Sam gave such an emotional performance all throughout. Sharon congratulated him for getting Enrique’s intensity.

#YFSFGiftedKids Awra Briguela As Elizabeth Ramsey

Breakout star Awra Briguela is up for an extra challenging icon this week – Elizabeth Ramsey. Awra rehearsed and performed Waray-Waray, a song that Elizabeth Ramsey popularized.

After an entertaining performance, the judges gave their comments. Gary said he was looking the signature sharp moves of Mama Beth in Awra’s performance. This was echoed by Sharon as well. Ogie gave Awra’s performance a two thumbs up for being very entertaining.

Four more kids will perform on Sunday, March 19. Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids airs on ABS-CBN every Saturday at 7:15 p.m. and every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Livestreaming is also available via IwanTV.com.ph.
