But Mercifuletes Viola, aka Lola Rapper, gave everyone an incredible first impression. She sang Jesse J’s “Price Tag” nailed the rap part perfectly without any dentures. Viola received a unanimous yes from the judges. But there is more to this rapping grandma. At 68 years old, Viola is not letting her age hold her back whatsoever. She proves her age is only a number and talent comes from hard work and passion. With eight children she had to support, life was tough. Like most Filipinos living in hardship, Viola made sure she gave her children what she can. She admits they did not even live in a house. They lived on the streets making the most of what they can. It wasn’t easy especially when her late husband was sick. But she believes in working hard and being a fighter no matter the circumstance. She is a Widow After Viola’s entertaining performance, the judges were stunned and absolutely impressed by her. Anggun complimented her performance. While David Foster was quite smitten with her. The singer asked Viola if she was single because he was always looking. Laughing it off, Viola told Foster that she is a Widow. Because of her husband’s sickness, he met his untimely passing. But it looks like it doesn’t bring Viola down. After receiving praise and a yes from all three judges, she got bonus kisses from Foster and Jay Park.
