4 Reasons Why Finally Found Someone Is a Must-Watch

John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo reunite in "Finally Found Someone"

After about four years, John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo reunite in the box-office hit, “Finally Found Someone.”  On its premiere night in July 26, it earned around P20 million. This proves that fans remain loyal to the AshLloyd tandem since their last film, “It Takes a Man and a Woman” in 2013. Sarah admits that she “missed” being with his co-star on the big screen. John, on the other hand, says he is glad that he and Sarah explored the new storyline of “Finally Found Someone” which is totally different from the plot of their first three movies.

In an interview with Pep, John Lloyd said that he had to “downplay” his expectations when it comes to the film’s turn out in the box office. He stressed that the film being a hit solely depends on the audience. Sarah also hopes that Pinoy movie fans would support this fourth film just the way they did during the first three, “A Very Special Love” (2008), “You Changed My Life” (2009), and “It Takes A Man and a Woman” (2013). True enough, the response of the audience has been positive. “Finally Found Someone” directed by Theodore Boborol is co-produced by Star Cinema and VIVA films.

“Finally Found Someone:” Four Things To Know

Since the theatrical release of “Finally Found Someone,” there has been so much buzz about it and its cast. The film is definitely a must-watch and there are four reasons why we think this is so.

1. Sarah Geronimo gives a clue on the kind of wife she will be through the film. Sarah said that she dreams of becoming a “good wife. She said this on July 23 on the set of “Tonight with Boy Abunda” with John Lloyd Cruz. As they were talking about married, Sarah sends a message to her future husband asking him to be very patient and understanding with her. She also hopes that his love for her would multiply because he will have a hard time (“Sana I-multiply mo pa ang pagmamahal ko sa’yo kasi mahihirapan ka!). At this time, she said she is not yet ready to get married yet. John Lloyd interrupted her saying, “It’s okay. The truth is, I don’t think malalaman mo kapag ready ka na o hindi. You just dive into it.” To this, Sarah said she doesn’t want to be selfish and to find Mr. Right, you have to Ms. Right first.

2. Matteo Guidicelli is supportive of Sarah and John Lloyd’s partnership at work. Guidicelli assured that he is supportive of Sarah and John Lloyd’s project together. He describes John Lloyd as a cool guy and so to him, there is “no problem.” John Lloyd has also openly expressed that he is very happy for Sarah and Matteo. The couple has been together for about three years now and they have been nothing but happy since. Matteo and Sarah have not released an official statement just yet about marriage plans, despite the rumors.

3. Director Theodore Boborol is “in awe” at Sarah’s portrayal as “Aprilyn.” In an interview with The Hive Asia, Director Boborol stated that Sarah “has grown as a person and an actress” enabling her to better portray her role. He expressed that Sarah’s love life allowed her to understand her character deeper. Her acting now has “more depth.”

4. “Finally Found Someone” is officially a wholesome film for the family.  On July 25, the Cinema Evaluation Board graded the film, receiving a “B.” This means that the movie qualifies for a 60 percent tax rebate. Also, the grade certifies that the film is of good quality. The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) rated it with a “G” for general patronage.

“Finally Found Someone” tells the story of a woman named Aprilyn who is devastated when her groom decides not to show up on their wedding day. She then meets Raffy, who helps her move on. The cast includes Joey Marquez, Yayo Aguila, Dennis Padilla, and Tetchie Agbayani, among others.
