This 2019, Baguio City has particularly stepped up its Christmas game. 1. Baguio Christmas Fair

Baguio City’s main attraction this year brings its visitors on a little trip around the world for An Enchanting Baguio Christmas. Located at the Rose Garden in Burnham Park, the Baguio Christmas Fair is a recreation of various famous Christmas markets all around Europe. Here, you’ll surely be able to feel the holiday spirit with the wonderful twinkling lights and the cozy and jolly atmosphere of the Christmas market.

The specially designed chalets clustered around the park are divided into The French Fantasy, The German Gems, Imagining Italy, and Living Local. Each chalet offers various Christmas finds, flavors, finery, and tons of fun activities for children and families. And that’s not all. The Baguio Christmas Fair will be up until January 10. In between now and then, there are tons of performances, shows, games, and entertainment lined up for the crowds to enjoy. 2. Baguio Christmas Village

The Baguio Christmas Village has become a Baguio Christmas Attractions staple. Every year, they don’t fail to bring delight and Christmas cheer to their visitors. And this year, they brought together the biggest film and TV show of the year into Christmas wonderland. If you’re a fan of “Game of Thrones” or the Avengers, this might just make your holidays all the merrier. From dragons made of flowers to the Avenger’s headquarters, you’ll be able to bask in your favorite film or tv show. To complete the experience, staff members of the Baguio Country Club are also dressed as GoT and Marvel characters. So, better head on here for the Christmas Marvel and GoT experience!

3. The Manor

If you’re looking for the classic all-out Christmas experience, head on to Camp John Hay’s The Manor. The hotel’s garden has been transformed into another enchanting Christmas wonderland. The entire garden is filled with twinkling stars and numerous Christmas trees of different kinds and sizes. The arcs all around are decorated with different Christmas decorations. There is also a Ville de Noel. And last but not least, right in the middle of the garden is a giant, beautiful, and exquisite snow globe. To make things more interesting, the Manor holds light shows every day as well. On weekdays, the light show is at 6:30 pm. On weekends, it’s on at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 pm.

In addition to all that, the Manor also has its very own Christmas fair filled with different shops and activities perfect for the holiday cheer. Here, you’ll find The Little Crafter’s Shop, Toys Cabin, The Creamery, S’mores Camp Fire, The Fat Belly Project, and Snack Nook. The holiday activities, on the other hand, are Jenga, target shooting, hook the ducks, smash the can, ropes and ladders, Buzzwire maze, trampoline, and Rent-a-Game. When you get here, not one moment will ever really be boring.

4. Session Lights and Christmas Tree

Another signature delight of the Baguio Christmas attractions is the Session Lights and Christmas Tree. Every year, these two are lighted up simultaneously to officially signify the start of Christmas in the city together with the SLU Annual Lantern Parade. And every year, they don’t fail to provide such wonderful sights. Couple that with the fireworks display and it is just magnificent. If you didn’t happen to be in the crowds to witness all this, it’s still fine. You’ll still be able to witness Session’s beautiful lights and the city Christmas tree in all its glory every night until next year.

This year, the local government opted for a classic, simple, and elegant Christmas tree. At night, it delightfully twinkles in the classic red, green, and yellow colors. In the day, it marvels with vibrant poinsettia plants arranged in a spiral around it. Meanwhile, Porta Vaga has enchanted Session with its dream catcher-like themed lights twinkling in bright purples, greens, and yellows. Every single one of these definitely makes for an exciting night time walk along Session Road.

5. Tam-Awan, Diplomat, Ben Cab

Last but not least, let’s not forget about Baguio’s premiere art spots. Just before the Christmas celebrations began, Baguio was just coming off its second arts festival as a UNESCO creative city. But, that doesn’t mean the art celebration ends there. If you want to delve into Baguio City’s arts scene, pay a visit to the Tam-Awan village, the Diplomat hotel, or the BenCab museum. In these places, you’ll find the works of Baguio’s best artists plus you’ll get to know a little bit more about this little mountain city.
