Kapuso star Gabbi Garcia is making her way to the big leagues. Most recently, the young star became the first Filipina to endorse an international shampoo brand. She joins the ranks of Selena Gomez, Ronda Rousey, Ellie Goulding and Giselle Bundchen as celebrity endorsers of Pantene.

According to a GMA News report, the actress has been sharing on social media about a trip to Australia for a “secret project.” This was prior to the recent reveal.

From Encantadia To Australia

Gabbi Garcia is best known for her role in the hit series Encantadia, as Sang’gre Alena. In the series, she plays the Sang’gre that is known for her ability to control water as well as the ability to control anyone through song. She joined the cast at 17 years of age.

Currently, at 18 years, she continues to regale her fans with her performance in the series. She is also currently a mainstay of GMA-7’s Sunday noontime show, Sunday Pinasaya.

In an interview with GMA News, she shared how “blessed” she was to have landed this project. She called it a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” which she enjoyed working on. She also told GMA News about her production time in Lake Gairdner, Australia. She experienced driving a Mustang with the top down, in the middle of the desert.

Working With The Best

Gabbi also shared how proud she was to have worked with the same team that worked with Selena Gomez. Gomez, who endorsed Pantene before Gabbi, worked with celebrity hairstylist Ken Arthur. Gabbi worked with him as well.

To shoot for the commercial and the print campaign, she also worked with award-winning photographer and filmmaker Olivier Staub and Filipino make-up artist Robbie Piñera. When asked about her experience working with industry greats, she said it was “so surreal and breathtaking.”

In another report in the Business Mirror, the young star also shared how empowering the experience was for her. She noted how all of the previous ambassadors were “strong and successful,” which made her feel the same as well.
