This could just be the best New Year for golfers in Baguio City. The Baguio Country Club, Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) and the 65th Miss Universe brings you  “The Crown,” an invitational Golf Tournament at the Baguio Country Club on January 16 – 18. With the Philippines hosting the 65th Miss Universe and the pageant fast approaching, Baguio City makes sure it gives opportunities for Baguio City dwellers to meet and greet the candidates of the most awaited event of 2017.

In last year’s report, Miss Universe officials confirmed the inclusion of Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines, as part of its itinerary. In the official Facebook page of the 65th Miss Universe, the final date of the candidate’s visit, which is set on January 18was revealed through a teaser video.

Golfers In Baguio City To Meet Candidates In ‘The Crown’

A ceremonial Tee Off with Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and the Miss Universe 2016 candidates is set on January 18 at 11:00 a.m. For BCC members, the tournament fee is P 4,000 and for sponsored guests, P 6,000. The fees include two (2) rounds of golf, food at the awarding ceremonies, giveaways, raffle prizes and the highlight of the tournament, a meet and greet session with Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and the Miss Universe 2016 candidates.

The format of the tournament follows the ‘System 36.’ Awarding ceremonies will be held at the Cordillera Garden Veranda at 4:00 p.m.Baguio Country Club Members are welcome to contact the Baguio Club at (074) 619-2050 local 6271 for inquiries.

‘The Crown’ is not the only opportunity for Baguio dwellers to catch a glimpse of the Miss Universe 2016 candidates. In a previous report, it was confirmed that local organizers will put together a special float parade with street dancing for the pageant visitors much like the popular Baguio Flower Festival or Panagbenga Festival in February.
