Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal of “Game of Thrones” and “Narcos” gets a big break into the silver screen in the British super-secret spy blockbuster action film, “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.” The movie is a sequel to “Kingsman: The Secret Service” that featured the recruitment of an unrefined but promising street kid into the ultra-competitive training program of the agency.

Pascal joins the star-studded ensemble that includes Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong and Sophie Cookson as the Kingsman organization.  A-listers Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal and Jeff Bridges also join the cast as the Kingsman’s US counterparts called the “Statesman.”

Pedro Pascal: From the Small Screen to the Silver Screen

Pedro Pascal has been making raves in his famed roles as Oberyn Martell in HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and as Javier Pena in the Netflix series “Narcos,” which is now in its 3rd season. Now with his inclusion in the jet-packed spy movie, the Chilean-born American actor has broken through, big time, into the silver screen. The fans will definitely have something to look forward to!

An elite ally face-off is expected between the Kingsman and the Statesman. When the world is taken hostage and the Kingsman’s headquarters are destroyed, the Kingsman discover that they are not the only elite secret organization in existence. They realize that they have an allied spy organization in the US called “Stateman” that was established at the same time the Kingsman was. In a battle of elite wit and serious agent strength, they team up to defeat a common enemy to save the world.

Having liquor as agent code names is quite interesting. If the agents of the Kingsman are under the guise of a tailor shop, the Statement are under the guise of a distillery. Channing Tatum’s agent code name is “Tequila” while Jeff Bridges’ is “Champ” for champagne. Pedro Pascal is known as “Whiskey” while Halle Berry is called “Ginger Ale.” They really are cowboys.

“Kingsman: The Golden Circle” from 20th Century Fox opens on September 20 in Philippine cinemas.
