Government Goes Digital: Enjoy Lineless Government Due Payments With PayMaya

Online transactions are the new norm and now businesses aren’t the only ones taking full advantage of it. Say goodbye to waiting in long lines just to pay your taxes and membership dues. You can now pay your Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Social Security System (SSS) dues from the comfort of your own homes with your PayMaya account.

With this, you can enjoy a more convenient and safer way to pay your dues. If you haven’t settled your accounts already, you can catch up now using the final extension BIR, SSS, and other government agencies have granted on tax filing and membership dues until June 15, 2020.

Alongside an easier way to pay your government dues, using PayMaya also earns you rewards. For BIR, convenience fees are waived when you use the Pay Bills section of the app. For SSS, you can get a 100% cashback when you use your PayMaya account to pay your fees via the SSS mobile app.

“We support the government’s efforts to fast track digitalization efforts for better delivery of public service. This is in line with increasing efficiencies in government services as the country moves towards the New Normal post-pandemic. We at PayMaya are excited to work with more national government agencies and local government units towards those same goals” said Orlando B. Vea, Founder and CEO of PayMaya.

Empowering Government Digitalization

Aside from SSS and BIR, PayMaya has also been working with other government agencies to allow their members to enjoy more convenient services and transactions. PayMaya has enabled some agencies and units the ability to accept card and e-wallet payments.

These agencies include the PAG-IBIG Fund, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC), and the City of Valenzuela, among others.

Other than that, PayMaya has also partnered up with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transport Regulatory and Franchising Board (LTFRB) to equip public utility vehicles with cashless payment acceptance and additional livelihood opportunities for drivers.

Shifting government transactions online gives some relief as the pandemic continues to reshape the day to day lives of Filipinos. It makes it more convenient and safe. It also helps provide the public with more efficient and transparent services.
