Gaming company gumi Inc. recently teased a look at The Alchemist Code, a new strategy role playing game (SRPG) for mobile devices. Hironao Kunimitsu, the CEO of gumi Inc., also expressed in a press release his excitement in opening the game to a worldwide audience. “We look forward to expanding the Alchemist universe globally and are delighted to showcase the unmatched talents of the title’s development team,” he said. The development team consists of veteran animators, including Shoji Kawamori (Aquarion). Yoko Shimomura, who worked on Kingdom Hearts and Mario & Luigi, also brings in his talent as a composer and pianist.

First Look Of The Global Trailer

To hype the new game, gumi Inc. also released a video trailer to create interest worldwide. The teaser invites players into “a world divided by alchemy” with “infinite possibilities.” How awesome is that? It also introduces protagonists Logi and Dias, who explain their different views on how power must be wielded. Logi wants the power to save the world, while Dias wants the power to change the world. Presumably, players can choose which of the two to follow. At the end of the trailer, we also get a look at a mysterious woman, who seems to have a key role in the game.

The Alchemist Code will be available for free download on iOS and Android platforms. The launch date will also soon be revealed, as gumi Inc. releases more teasers. This is one mobile SRPG you’ll want to look out for!
