South Korean star, Gong Yoo, arrived stunningly gorgeous in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on Thursday for his four-day tour in Taiwan- which is a first for the actor.
Gong Yo stirred the hearts of the fans who showed up at the airport to welcome him. Just wearing a simple casual attire- sunglasses, white shirt, gray trousers, and sneakers- the heartthrob didn’t disappoint everyone as he graced the airport grounds.
Gong Yoo Arrives in Taiwan
The Hallyu star will hold a press conference today, and a fan meeting on Saturday. Gong Yoo will meet his 5,500 Taiwanese fans at Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei. Hello Kpop reports the 5,500 tickets were sold out in just ten minutes, considering that the ticket sales were entirely offline.
Comedian, actor and TV presenter Mickey Huang will host both Gong Yoo’s press conference and fan meeting. Gong Yoo portrayed a fatherly role in “Train to Busan,” which became a 2016 Korean blockbuster hit.
Gong Yoo In Goblin. According to Variety, the thriller movie broke the records for South Korean films, with $9.9million as its single day gross. He also starred in the tvN’s “Goblin” or “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” as Kim Shin. This fantasy drama series also became a hit in 2016. It became massively popularity all over Asia. Taiwan News reports “Goblin” is yet to be aired on Taiwanese TV. However, the same report says the drama has already garnered 2.7 million views in the Taiwanese version of iQiyi.
The Goblin’s “brides,” as fans call themselves, might already be at the edge of their seats as they wait for the drama’s airing. Taiwan News says it is expected to air on Taiwanese TV by the end of June. Alongside Gong Yoo, “Goblin” also stars Kim Go Eun, Yoo In-na, and Lee Dong Wook. Gong Yoo emerged to popularity with his lead role in “The First Shop of Coffee Prince” (2007).
