Philippine bet Katarina Rodriguez is currently in Egypt for the Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant happening on Jan 24 at the Sunrise Grand Select Crystal Bay. Katarina posted on Instagram a call for Filipinos to help her win this year’s social media award. Filipinos can also get a chance to help Katarina reach the pageant’s Top 6 through voting for her at the Miss Sunrise Resorts 2017.

In May 2017, there were rumors that Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 was giving up her crown. There was an alleged official statement from Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) saying that Rodriguez “expressed that she may not accept the crown,” adding that they are waiting for her official resignation. Katarina has posted photos of her and other candidates at the SENTIDO Mamlouk Palace Resort and the Sunrise Garden beach Resort & spa in Egypt. In one of her posts, Katarina asked help from her fellow Filipinos to vote help her win a new award this year, the social media award. Check her post below.

Here’s how to vote for Katarina on the Social Media Award. Log on to Facebook and visit the Miss Intercontinental 2017 page. Like it, share their posts, leave a comment and leave messages on the page. The contestant with the most active supporters will win the award.

Don’t stop there. Filipinos have the opportunity to help Katarina be part of the pageant’s Top 6. According to the website, Katarina’s supporters can vote for her on the Miss Sunrise Resorts 2017 from Jan 12 to 9 pm on Jan 23. The winner of the voting will automatically make it as part of the Top 6 finalists for Miss Intercontinental 2017.

Visit the Miss Intercontinental 2017 website, click on Katarina Rodriguez’s photo and hit the heart icon to vote. Each person can only vote once a day but has to give 3 votes to different contestants.
