Katarina posted on Instagram a call for Filipinos to help her win this year’s social media award. Filipinos can also get a chance to help Katarina reach the pageant’s Top 6 through voting for her at the Miss Sunrise Resorts 2017.
In May 2017, there were rumors that Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 was giving up her crown. There was an alleged official statement from Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) saying that Rodriguez “expressed that she may not accept the crown,” adding that they are waiting for her official resignation.
