Jake Cuenca Gets 2 Broken Bones And Stitches From Bike Accident

Jake Cuenca suffered two broken bones and some stitches in a bike accident the morning of March 14 while training at the Mall Of Asia in Pasay City. The Kapamilya actor will need surgery and will run more tests to know the further damage. Recently, Jake and Gerald Anderson joined the triathlete’s Ironman 70.3 in Subic.

Jake’s mother, Rachel Leveriza, sent a text message to Star Magic giving an update on the actor’s condition according to a report by PEP. She confirmed that the accident happened this morning and said, “He was biking when the truck in front stopped. He was not able to brake in in time. Rachel said Jake has a “stitched wound under his chin and two fractures in his right hand that will need surgery.”

The report also says Jake’s father, Juan Tomas Cuenca, says his son will be doing more tests to find out if there are more damages from the accident. In a report by DZMM on Twitter, Juan was quoted to say, “He’s in pain. You cannot blame the truck driver because he (Jake) was the one who hit the truck.” Jake’s father added that this was a lesson for his son to be more careful next time.

Jake Cuenca and Gerald Anderson Joins Ironman 70.3 in Subic

Jake Cuenca and Gerald Anderson joined the Ironman 70.3 for the first time in Subic on Sunday, March 12. According to a report by ABS-CBN, the two Kapamilya actors were met with unfortunate events.

Anderson’s team was disqualified after being ranked first overall for the men’s relay category. Jake, on the other hand, suffered a flat tire at the 70-km mark of the 90-km bike leg. Despite the mishap, Jake finished. Jake was preparing for the next Ironman race in Cebu but in light of recent events, he might put this on hold.

Jake and Gerald are  both triathletes on the upcoming series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin with Kim Chiu.
