Jake Zyrus Might Have Just Revealed New Girlfriend

Charice Pempengco, now known as Jake Zyrus, might have just introduced his new girlfriend, Shrye Aquino. It seems the singer has finally moved on from his relationship with former girlfriend, Alyssa Quijano. Here’s what we know.

In April, Jake who was still referred to as Charice at that time announced breakup with live-in partner Alyssa Quijano. They’ve been together since 2013. It was revealed then that Alyssa was the one who packed her bags and left the apartment. Since the news broke out, reports reveal that the singer has been staying with a fan in Laguna. It was also revealed then that Charice canceled her KIA concert entitled, “Charice: End of Chapter Rock Concert,” which was supposed to happen last March. She gave the impression that she was done with showbiz.

However, after two months, Charice resurfaced with a new identity. She introduced herself as Jake Zyrus. Jake, now a he, dropped the news on his social media platforms. This, indeed caught wind from fans but also got support from other lesbian celebs like Aiza Seguerra and transman Jesi Corcuera. He also shared that the name Jake Zyrus was just a screen name but was still Charice legally. He did, however, share that he was thinking of physically transforming himself into a man. Now that Charice has established himself as Jake, it seems he is ready to move on to the next step, find himself some love.

The 25-year-old singing sensation revealed how he felt for his new found love via Instagram. Well, not revealing who she is to him, not exactly. Shyre Aquino with the user handle Shyre.xvi posted a photo of her and Jake Zyrus together on Sunday, Aug 13, with no caption attached. Jake Zyrus left a comment saying, “You deserve all these good comments. They don’t even know who you really are as a person.”

Jake went on to say how “this woman” made him feel good about himself. She was also the reason why he stopped hating other people because of what they thought about him. Jake continues to say, ” Other than her outer beauty, her inner beauty is one of the many reasons why I adore her. She’s patient, funny and humble. Thanks for complimenting her. It makes me feel very proud. She’s a really good human being.” The next photo posted also on Aug 13 shows her and Jake on the beach. This time, with the caption, “I love you for who you are.”

Looking at Shyre’s Instagram photos, it seems she and Jake have been seeing each other for awhile. In July, she posted a photo of her being carried by a guy who seem to look like Jake. See post below.
