Korean-American rapper Jay Park is set to be the new judge on Asia’s Got Talent Season 2 on AXN. He will be joining fellow judges Grammy Award winner David Foster and World Music Award winner Anggun. Asia’s Got Talent Season 2 start production next week.

Park Jae-beom, popularly known as Jay Park, is an international pop sensation born in the US. Jay Park is the jack of all trades. He not only is a singer and rapper but a dancer, record producer, model, choreographer, entrepreneur, and actor. Park has his own record label called AOMG and his new label called H1GHR Music. And if in case you didn’t know, Jay Park is the first Asian-American to sign with international hip hop icon Jay-Z as stated in a report by Straits Times.

Jay Park on AGT Season 2, ‘I’m not the type to say whatever just to be nice’

Jay Park is known to be one who speaks his mind. In 2010 while training in Korea as part of former group 2PM, he wrote a post about Korea saying Korea is gay. He went on to say how he hates Koreans and how he wanted to go back to the US. A report by Soompi says he eventually did move back to the US but was dismissed from the group.

Now, he comes back to Asia and he tells the Straits Times that he will definitely be well-mannered but will not be the type to say whatever just to be nice. He said, “You have to be real with these people in order to really help them. Sugarcoating things is not going to help them.”

Jay expressed his excitement and tells Asia One, “I’m excited to be a part of the show, and I’m looking forward to joining the incredible David and Anggun to discover the next generation of Asian stars.” Co-judge David Foster, on the other hand, says “I’m also excited to team up with the gorgeous Anggun again and to work alongside Jay.”

Jay Park was also a judge for rap contest Show Me The Money 4 in 2015 and then again in Show Me The Money 6 this year. He also judged the dance competition Dancing 9 in 2014.

Catch Jay Park on Asia’s Got Talent Season 2 which airs in October on AXN.
