Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids March 15 Performances, Alexa Nicole Sings Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Alexa Nicole Salcedo from Pasig City was first on stage. Alexa is seven years old and an only child. Her father works abroad ever since she was younger. She joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids hoping to win so her father won’t need to work abroad anymore. Alexa sang “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” like a princess wearing a white dress. She gave a sweet rendition of the song making head judge Yeng Constantino smile.

Judge Jaya said for someone who is very young she was able to impress the judges. Alexa was also able to carry each tune well even if she got a bit lost in some parts of the song. Judge Billy said Alexa’s voice was like the voice of an angel. He also commended her for getting back on track even after a little hiccup in the middle of the song.

Kurt Russel Madrid Sings Delilah

Kurt Russel Madrid from Rizal was the next contender on stage. This 11-year-old sang “Delilah” with much emotion. Kurt is a middle child and loves hanging out with his two older brothers rather than his younger sister and brother. His family just recently found out that he can sing. Since then, they supported him all the way and even got a voice coach for him. His biggest musical influence and idol is Gary V.

Kurt sang a song a bit too old for him so judge Yeng said he had the voice and maybe he should just choose songs that are fit for his age.

Arthur Gabriel Beaniza Sings Angeline Quinto Hit

Eight-year-old Arthur Gabriel “Gabby” Beaniza from Roxas City, Capiz was the last contender of the day. Gabby loved Justin Bieber ever since he could remember. But on this episode, he sang another Angeline Quinto’s hit. If not singing, this young boy helps out in the “ukay-ukay” family business with his mom and dad.

Judge Erik Santos loved his confidence, stance on stage and of course his voice. He just noticed how Gabby seemed a bit shakey in a few of his notes. But overall, he liked his performance. Nyoy said, “You are a very good singer” and agreed with Erik on how shakey he was at the beginning.
