Post after post from actress Ellen Adarna’s Instagram and finally with a comment confirming their relationship, fans are itching to get an official announcement from the couple. And while people from the outside are hinting updates about the real deal in their romance, conflicting ideas are all the more confusing followers. Just recently there’s been a rumor saying she and John Lloyd Cruz are getting married. But this was soon swatted by Ellen Adarna’s ‘best friend,’ Beauty Gonzales-Crisologo.

Ever since the Ellen Adarna and John Lloyd Cruz shied away from show business, people around have been giving them even more attention– more than they ever have when they were on it. And Lolit Solis seems to be the biggest fan of their love story. On her Instagram, the talk show host did not hesitate to post and make claims about the couple.
On the first week of December, she posted a screencap of Ellen’s story– the one with a glaringly huge ring on her middle finger. According to her caption, it was a ‘Yellow Princess Cut Perfect Diamond’ that cost about 3 million pesos. See Instagram post below.
Just recently, she also posted a screencap of Ellen’s photo of John Lloyd with the family. This time, she says, the Adarna-Cruz nuptials are underway in Cebu. Her anonymous source also discloses that the family booked a caterer and florist. She goes on to say that it’s no wonder actor John Lloyd Cruz spent his New Year with the Adarna family. It was because they are apparently planning for the big day– sometime in early or late February. See Instagram post below.
Soon after the news broke out, fans have had their eyebrows furrowed. What’s even more confusing is it’s hard to doubt the sincerity of Lolit Solis. She was eagerly wishing them well like she knew about this information firsthand.
Meanwhile, Bandera reports that Ellen’s BFF actress Beauty Gonzales-Crisologo is adamantly refuting this claim. She says that as one of her friends, she would be ‘the first one to know.’ She also says that ‘it’s not true’ and that there is no wedding happening soon.
According to the actress, the Adarna family owns a catering business– so the ‘catering’ claim is more likely about their business. She also states that the claim about the florist could be about the nearing Sinulog-Santo Niño Festival that is annually held in Cebu City. The festival is to take place on January 21. “Masaya silang dalawa sa isa’t isa and I’m happy for them. I mean, let’s keep it that way kasi hindi nabibili ‘yong happiness mo.” she says.
Instead, the actress concludes that it’s better to let the couple be and to stop making assumptions about small things. She encourages everyone to let them do their thing as they’re not disrupting anyone anyway.
UPDATE: On Monday, Jan 8, John Lloyd Cruz posted a video on Instagram. It shows John Lloyd and Ellen walking down an isle humming a bridal chorus. At the last part, it shows an altar with a whole set up made for a wedding. Did they just give a preview of their wedding or someone else’s wedding?
