It reached a point where rumors about him being suspended spread. To set the record straight, chief operating officer and senior vice president of Tape Inc. Malou Choa-Fagar, stated that the comedian is currently on leave and is not suspended. Tape Inc. is the producer of the longest running noontime show. The rumors apparently spread because of a speculated altercation between Jose and Wally Bayola where Jose allegedly “punched” Wally. To this, Fagar told the Inquirer, it is “not true.” In a text message to GMA Network on July 6, Ms. Malou also stated that the Jose will be back in the program within July to complete the Jose-Wally Bayola-Paolo Ballesteros (JoWaPao) tandem. Various Speculations Lead to Rumors of Jose Manalo’s Suspension Bandera-Inquirer reports on some speculations as to why Jose has not been seen on “Eat Bulaga” lately. One of these speculations include Jose’s tardiness in the segment he co-hosts with Paolo and Wally. Another reason is due to Jose being hot-tempered at times depending on his mood. These allegations lead to the assumption that he was suspended. Once again, the report stressed that Jose is currently in the US taking some r&r and will be back before the month ends. He will resume his duties as a co-host in the show. Jose Manalo has been in Eat Bulaga since 2002. The actor-comedian was absorbed by TAPE Inc. as a co-host in the year 2002 and from then on, his career skyrocketed. He was later partnered with Wally Bayola and are now famous as a comic duo.
