The protective dad asked Joshua if he was indeed courting his daughter Julia Barretto. Meanwhile, Joshua speaks up about the fear of being rejected by his on-screen romance partner Julia. Everyone would believe it was indeed sweet serendipity that brought these two young love teams to tandem. After years of hiding behind the tough love team competition in the showbiz industry, JoshLia emerged in 2016. Garcia and Barretto paired up for the MMFF movie, “Vince and Kath and James.” After the success of the movie, there is no denying that the couple clicked and has become a favorite of many. A few months ago the two headlined on an episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” Since then, the JoshLia tandem has been making headlines. Fans could not get enough of the tandem’s chemistry as shown on their social media accounts. The internet went gaga over Joshua’s surprise romantic dinner for Julia which was uploaded on Sunday. It was their common friend Mark Coleta who posted it on his Instagram account seen below. He captioned the video by asking who would not get the romantic feels after such surprise. The Inquirer reports Joshua did so to light up Julia’s spirits. This came after Julia has been hospitalized due to fever. Well, it was a surreal romantic dinner. Indeed, love is in the air for these two! Dennis Padilla on Joshua and Julia off-screen romance Dennis Padilla seemed supportive of the budding romance that his daughter and Joshua has. According to PEP, Joshua felt pressured and comfortable at the same time when he met with Julia’s father. Pressured because Dennis was asking about him and Julia. Comfortable because they both got along well. The actor added Dennis even asked for his mobile number and he willingly gave it. And to give JoshLia fans something to smile about, Dennis called Joshua “anak.” Yes, and that’s confirmed by Joshua himself. Joshua narrated Dennis messaged him a “Thank you” and even called him “son.” Joshua and Julia still have a long way to go.
