Photo taken via Official IG Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Joshua Garcia celebrates his 20th birthday and it is undeniably one of his most special days. Not because you could spell the date 07/10/2017 backward and still get the same result, but because of on-screen partner and off-screen apple of his eye, Julia Barretto. After posting a few messages to her fans on her suitor’s birthday, Julia was not afraid to send out her endearing message for everyone else to read. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Joshlia moment: Julia Barretto’s Surprise for Joshua Garcia’s 20th Birthday On October 7, the 20-year-old actress tweeted to her fans, informing them about Joshua’s special day and asked them to give him ‘all the love he deserves.’ And for all the Joshlia fans out there, this isn’t too hard of a task. You might even call it instinctive. Ahem, but really, Julia, we’re pretty sure the only love he wants to receive right now is yours. Cue the swooning hundreds of Joshlia shippers. A few hours into the day, birthday boy Joshua posted on his Instagram account a clip of Julia’s surprise visit to give him a large birthday cake. He placed a black and white filter over the clip, making it feel more like a classic romance movie. Here we see Joshua and Julia embracing each other and smiling sweetly. According to the now 2-decades old actor, Julia had been sick during this time yet she still made a way to see him. He then ends the caption with a simple ‘Mahal kita!’ Cue the swooning hundreds again! But, wait! There’s more: Julia’s long message for Joshua on Instagram. On her Instagram account, Julia writes a touching message for her “Love You To The Stars And Back” co-star. On her message, she opened up about the ‘hate’ and the ‘unkind words’ she says she has received. And concludes this explaining how Joshua had been there for her all throughout. She calls him her ‘Lucky Charm.’ Attached to her caption, is a montage of their off-camera moments with genuine laughter, and unquestionable closeness. The video sings the song of ‘You’ by The Carpenters– a song dedicated to those people who make us happy. And undoubtedly, Joshua is Julia’s own source of happiness–and vice versa. Today is a special day because today my baba was born ❤️ Show and give him the love he deserves ❤️ — Julia Barretto (@BarrettoJulia) October 6, 2017 In the midst of all the judgments, the unkind words thrown at me, in the midst of all the hate and those who doubted me and my heart. There was you. You believed in me. You understood me. You embraced my soul. You saw the good in me and continue to bring out the best in me. You bravely and proudly call me your lucky charm despite the others who think otherwise. You protected me, cared for me and loved me for all that I am. You make me a better person baba, and I am so glad to have found my way to you. You are the real lucky charm. Today (and everyday), you deserve to be celebrated because there is absolutely no one like you. Thank you for being you. Happy birthday.
