According to an official statement on Bieber’s Facebook page, he cites “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for this decision. This includes a concert in the Philippines slated for September 30 at the Philippine Arena. Fans of Bieber are likely to be disappointed with the news. In the same statement, Bieber thanks his fans for the “incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over the last 18 months.” It also says that he “hates to disappoint his fans” that he loves. Justin Bieber Takes A Break After Two Years On Tour According to a Variety report, the pop star did not make the decision abruptly. A source close to the singer said that he considered things carefully, including the fact that refunds can be made available quickly given that some of the shows only went on sale recently. As mentioned in the official statement, refunds will be made at the “point of purchase.” The Purpose World Tour started in March 2016 and was entering its last leg, with additional shows in the US, as well as several cities in Asia. A total of 154 shows have been done for the tour, and according to reports, the 2017 tour dates have already grossed around $93.2 million for the singer. After the announcement was released, the singer was seen enjoying some time for relaxation in Santa Monica. When asked about his state, he said “Everything’s fine… I’ve been on tour for two years. [I’m going to spend time] resting, relaxation, gonna ride some bikes.” How To Get Refunds For Manila Tickets As the announcement states, refunds will be arranged and will be available at the point of purchase. In the Philippines, tickets went on sale as early as June, so some fans may have already bought their tickets. Those who have done so may contact the local point of purchase, SM Tickets at (02) 470-22-22 for information on how to get your refunds. Local concert organizer MMI Live also posted an advisory on the refund process. According to MMI Live’s official Twitter account, refunds will be accommodated from July 28, Friday onwards.
