The influence of Korean Pop and Korean Drama is undeniable. So it is not surprising to see people who could cry glitters just to meet their idols and biases. Even Filipino celebrities like James Reid, Glaiza De Castro, Ella Cruz, Bella Padilla and Kris Aquino can’t hide their admiration and “kilig” over Korean actors and performers.

Filipino people have been fans of K-dramas such as “Descendants of the Sun,” “My Love From The Star,” and more. After that, K-Pop took over everything. Artists like BTS, EXO, Bigbang, SHINee and more have been taking over the playlists of young ladies and even young men. Let’s take a look at celebs who are actually just like us. 1.Kris Aquino

The Queen of All Media declared on one of her tweets that she is a fan of the billboard-topping Korean boy band BTS.

We all know that Kris Aquino is a huge fan of branded clothes, so when she saw BTS wearing her favorite GUCCI jacket, she started to follow their journey. She watched their AMA performance and was totally amazed and astonished by them. After listening to their songs, she immediately bought their albums. Kris said that if BTS will perform in Tokyo, Bangkok, or Singapore, she will fly to see them. Looks like Kris Aquino is one of the newest celebrity fans of BTS!

2.James Reid

Who would have thought that this Fil-Aussie (Filipino-Australian) actor, singer, dancer and songwriter is a big fan of Kpop specifically of the Korean group Big Bang? James Reid became a fan of Bigbang when he began practicing his dance moves to their upbeat tunes. Last July 30, 2015, James together with his friends and sister Lauren attended Big Bang’s concert at the Mall of Asia Arena. On his Instagram post, he said that attending Big Bang’s concert is a dream come true.

3.Bela Padilla

Bela, a Filipino-British actress, film producer, and screenwriter is a fan of Lee Dong Wook, the second lead character of “Goblin” who played the role of a grim reaper. On one of her Instagram posts, she uploaded a photo of Dong Wook with a caption, “Sige na, no need to face the wall. Uwi ka na, ‘di na ako galit.”She once pointed out that Dong Wook looks like her rumored boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo.

4.Glaiza de Castro

The star of the new upcoming GMA drama series “Contessa” is crushing on G-Dragon, one of the members of Big Bang. Last year, she went to South Korea to watch G-Dragon’s Concert. Aside from this,  she also attended G-Dragon’s World Tour Concert in Manila last September 1, 2017, where she was able to go near her idol. Glaiza was also able to visit locations of famous Kdrama series like the actual cafe of the Coffee Prince and a mural dedicated to Lee Jong Suk, the star of the hit Korean Drama W: Two Worlds.

5.Ella Cruz

Aside from being an actress and dancer, Ella Cruz who’s also called the country’s Dance Princess is a big fan of Kpop. During her guesting in Magandang Buhay last year, she showed her Kpop poster and album collections. She mentioned in the show that she began to fantasize about Kpop groups when 2NE1 rose to fame.

Ella was able to meet one of her newest favorite Korean girl groups BLACKPINK during their fan meeting event in South Korea. She was lucky enough to have a short but memorable conversation with each of the members. Well, there’s no doubt that Ella might be the luckiest BLINK (BLACKPINK’s official fandom name) ever.
