K-Pop groups G-Friend and Dia are in recovery after both were involved in separate car accidents. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported. G-Friend was on their way to Incheon Munhak Stadium for the 2017 Incheon K-pop Concert last Saturday. Dia, on the other hand, was on their way to a fan signing.
G-Friend Accident Caused By Inattentive driver, Dia, a minor Collision
The six member girl group was on their way to the stadium for their Sept 9 performance. Their car was hit by another vehicle around 5:30 p.m. as reported by Asia One. As their car was changing lanes on the Second Gyeongin Expressway it hit a vehicle in front of it. The group was sent to a nearby hospital to attend to their minor injuries.
Re[prt further says that the group’s agency, Source Music, said the accident was caused by the carelessness of the driver. The agency apologizes for the inconvenience and rescheduling of prior commitments due to the accident.
The girls suffered minor injuries due to the hit. Group member Yerin sprained a finger on her right hand while SinB, Eunha, Yuju, Sowon, Umji and the band manager suffered minor bruises.
At the moment G-friend and their manager are recovering at their homes. They will resume scheduled activities and promotion for their upcoming “Rainbow” repacked album. “Rainbow” is set to be released on Wednesday.
Although the injuries reported in this incident were relatively minor, the accident serves as a reminder of how quickly traffic collisions can disrupt personal and professional commitments.

Dia Minor Collision Cancells Fan Signing
On September 10, DIA posted on their Instagram that the group was involved in a minor car accident. They apologized for canceling their scheduled 7:30 p.m. fan signing in Goyang City. The caption reads, “We sincerely apologize for being later than the scheduled time at the fan signing in Goyang due to a minor collision.”
The Manila Bulletin reports that earlier that day DIA’s van collided with a car in front of them near Hannam Bridge in Seoul.
Dia also extends their apologies to those who experienced damages in the car accident. The group hopes to make a quick recovery to get right on track on their schedule.
