K-Pop Social Roundup: Most Followed K-pop Idols On Instagram, Twitter In 2020

Most people can only dream about gaining a million followers on Instagram, Twitter, or whatnot. K-pop idols only need 24 hours. It’s crazy but when these glittering, glamorous celebrities open up their personal social media accounts, they snap up millions of followers without lifting a finger. If you didn’t know, all BLACKPINK members took less than a day after opening their Instagram accounts to gain more than 1.5 million followers. From there, it was only an upward trajectory towards the top of the list of the most followed K-pop idols on the platform.

Wherever K-pop idols go, fans will follow. Who could blame them? As much as we love their addictive music, their popping and unique music videos, and charismatic stage performances, it’s also nice to see what’s behind those glittering clothes, colorful makeup, and cool stage personas. Their selcas, dance practice clips, and features of their hobbies make fans feel closer to their idols.

By now, especially with the latest slew of comebacks, it’s pretty obvious who’s on top of the most followed K-pop idols list. It’s definitely hard to get enough of the leader of Girl’s Generation. From her mesmerizing voice to her fairytale-like Insta posts, this girl has fans hooked. Her adorable puppies and goofy pictures are a huge plus as well.

9. GOT7’s Jackson (17.8 million)

With an undeniable swag like Jackson’s, it’s not hard to see why fans are going crazy over him. And he’s not shy of it either. Every post of his can make fans swoon. On top of that, he also has his own personal Youtube channel where he releases his solo projects.

8. EXO’s Baekhyun (18.1 million)

Baekhyun might fool you with his charming onstage persona and silky voice but offstage, he’s just a big old goofball which makes fans love him even more. You can easily find proof of his cheeky side on his posts as he plays with hilarious filters and such. Sometimes, he even manages to drag a friend into it. Oh, and did we mention he also loves supporting his bandmates through his Insta?

7. BIGBANG’s G-Dragon (18.3 million)

It’s a known fact that G-Dragon is the king of fashion. And it translates well into his Insta game as well. Instead of the usual selcas, the leader of BIGBANG uses Instagram to share his love for the arts, music, and fashion. Last year, GD actually collaborated with Nike for the Air Force 1 Para-Noise sneakers which featured his personal artwork.

6. EXO’s Sehun (20.1 million)

It’s pretty obvious but Sehun loves his Insta. EXO’s youngest member is pretty fond of posting his mirror selfies on the platform as well as pictures of his adorable pup. Occasionally, he’ll also post dance practice videos reminding fans just how much a good dancer he is. He also never misses the chance to post endearing photos of him with his members or his friends.

5. EXO’s Chanyeol (21.6 million)

When it comes to EXO, Chanyeol is really the Instagram king of the group. We can’t really get enough of the guy. His happy go lucky personality really shines through his posts which range from adorable posts about his pets, his friends, and his members to cute throwback photos of his childhood, music-making sessions, and even boy next door photos. Seriously, this guy can go from model to goofball in the span of a post.

And if you scroll through her profile, it’s easy to see why. Aside from showcasing glamorous magazine shoots, Lisa also posts plenty of pics from her everyday schedules all the while featuring her doll-like features and amazing fashion sense.
