Kathryn Bernardo

Recently, teen queen Kathryn Bernardo has been named the first-ever ambassador of Girl Scout of the Philippines. Kathryn was a former member of the organization herself and as a new ambassador, she will help promote girl scout advocacies, including reading. Here we look at other organizations Kathryn and Daniel represent. With a combined reach of more than 22 million followers on social media, KathNiel is arguably the most influential love team in the country today.

From their first show, “Growing Up” aired in 2011, the two had more projects and shows together. After their show “Princess and I” where they played the roles of Gino and Princess Mikay in 2012, they were named the “Teen King” and “Teen Queen.” But it didn’t end there. The teen royalties proved that they are King and Queen with hearts in real life. They used their celebrity status to support charities and institutions that aim to help those without the ability to defend themselves. With this, more and more organizations and brands are wanting them to be their ambassadors.

Organizations and Brands KathNiel Represent

Cybersmile Foundation

For KathNiel, bullying is a big no, no. The country’s phenomenal love team were named Cybersmile Ambassadors June last year through an official statement through the Cybersmile website.

“Cybersmile Foundation is a multi-award winning anti-cyberbullying non-profit organization which was founded in 2010. It registered in the United States and in the United Kingdom. They are committed to dealing with all forms of digital abuse and non-bullying online and promote a more positive digital community.”

What’s best about these two is that they are standing their ground and actually doing something to make a difference. Last year, Daniel Padilla defends his co-La Luna Sangre star Tony Labrusca after KathNiel fans bashed him for his role on the primetime soap.

“I’m sure aware si Tony na mangyayari yun. Kailangan niya tanggapin yun pero kailangan na rin tigil-tigilan ng mga fans. Tigilan niyo. It’s just a show. Relax lang. Huwag kayo nang-aaway ng mga tao dahil hindi naman sila yun. Character lang nila yun. Relax. Kung nagagalit kayo, effective ibig sabihin ‘di ba? Kaya guys, please!” he said in an interview with Yes! Magazine.

COMELEC

The teen queen has been chosen by the Commission on Elections as the face of their pro-women campaign to encourage more women to run in the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

This one’s for Daniel Padilla. He was tapped by Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) to be their “Junior ambassadors” who will help in promoting the activities of the organization. Together with him are Raymond “Abra” Abracosa, Julie Anne San Jose and Yeng Constantino.

The brand introduces its newest additions to its roster of brand ambassadors at the Manila Marriott Hotel on September 20 last year and it includes the KathNiel. Vivo is the 5th leading global smartphone brands in 2016-2017.

Daniel literally brings light. He teamed up Pepsi Philippines, Star Cinema, and BBDO Guerrero to give solar-light boxes to the Aeta community of Sitio Tarukan in Capas, Tarlac.

“For his part, Daniel Padilla created a tribute video for his adopted sitio featured in his June 13 sold-out concert dubbed “Most Wanted” at the Mall of Asia Arena. The hashtag #PepsiChallenge, which the video also supported, became the number one trend for the Philippines on Twitter. Resulting in tens of thousands of dollars donated to the Liter of Light project.”
