Gerlad and Kim first became an item on the first edition of “Pinoy Big Brother” Teens 2006. Kim won and Gerald was third. Kimerald gradually rose into fame and had different movie and television projects after the hit TV reality show.

The couple became real off-screen couples but broke up in 2010. Their last reunion was in 2012 during Star Cinema’s “24/7 in Love.” Fans couldn’t wait since the announcement was made. Take a look at these Twitter posts.

Why Kim Chiu And Gerald Anderson Said Yes To Reunion Project

Kim was a bit hesitant to say yes at first according to ABS-CBN reports. But during a press conference on Monday, she revealed that she wanted to take it as a challenge. Kim said, “Nung una, siyempre medyo alangan po talaga ako ng sobra. Tao lang naman po ako siyempre.” (At first I was really hesitant, I’m just human) She said that Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) advised her to take it since she’s more mature and it would be good for her career.

With the issue about her break up with Gerald in 2010, Kim said, “Siguro it’s about time. Ang tagal na. Kung [ibri-bring up] ‘yung issue dati, siyempre ang luma na nun. Nung panahon namin ni Gerald, wala pang social media nung magka-love team kami so kinakabahan kami sa magiging reaction ng mga tao.” (I think its about time, it’s been too long. The issue is in the past. Although we are worried about how people will react on social media, because then we didn’t have that.)

Fans would have to wait for the premiere date since no announcement has been made just yet.
