The series filming will start on the second half of this year and be aired in 2020. After making her debut film “A Muse” in 2012, Kim Go Eun won the Rising Star Award at the New York Asian Film Festival in 2013. According to Yahoo, she is one of just 3 Koreans who have received the award. Kim Go Eun attended School of Drama at the Korean National University of Arts where she finished her degree in Theater. 3 Things to Know: Kim Go Eun and ‘The King: The Eternal Monarch’ South Korea has produced numerous notable TV Series over the years. Similarly, they have been noted for actors and scriptwriters having outstanding performances in their fields. Some of these are Kim Go Eun (actress) and Kim Eun Sook (scriptwriter). Kim Go Eun has been in the industry for 7 years. She became well-known in the Philippines after her infamous portrayal in ‘Goblin’ with Gong Yoo, while Kim Eun Sook has been around the industry for quite some time. She is prominent and very much celebrated for writing some of the best tv series in South Korea like; Lovers In Prague, Secret Garden, Heirs, and Descendants of the Sun. Their first project was on the 2016 Korean hit series “Goblin.” Kim Eun Sook also wrote “Heirs,” the 2013 drama series in which Lee Min Ho also was the lead male actor. Second, Kim Go Eun will play a double role for ‘The King: The Eternal Monarch.’ She will be playing Jeong Tae Eul, a detective in the Republic of Korea and will soon team up with Lee Gon, Lee Min Ho’s character. She also plays Luna, a criminal in the Korean Empire in the parallel world. Third, The King: The Eternal Monarch’ is said to be a sci-fi fantasy romance drama. According to Kpopmap, the series is a story about parallel worlds that would need to work together to able to save both worlds. It begins when a god freed dark forces from humans and opened the gateway to these two realms. Later on, Emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) tries to close the door of his dimension. Meanwhile, Detective Jung Tae Eul (Kim GO Eun) tries to save her loved ones and other people’s lives. The King: The Eternal Monarch starring Kim Go Eun and Lee Min Ho is set to air in 2020.
