The actor’s agency, Sidus HQ, reveals more about the actors status and shares details about his plans for treatment. Nasopharyngeal cancer is a rare type of head and neck cancer. It starts in the nasopharynx which includes the upper part of the throat behind the nose. Medical reports say scientists are not really sure what causes this type of cancer. However, some studies have shown that those who smoke, drink a lot of alcohol and work around wood dust or chemicals like formaldehyde are prone to this type of cancer. According to Web MD, radiation therapy, surgery, biologic drugs, chemotherapy, or palliative therapy are the treatment for Nasopharyngeal cancer. Kim Woo Bin Diagnosed with Cancer, undergoes treatment A report by Soompi says Sidus HQ released an official statement on May 24. The statement read, “Kim Woo Bin recently noticed something abnormal about his body while he was in the midst of multiple schedules. When he went to the hospital to see what it was, he received a diagnosis for nasopharyngeal cancer.” The agency also said that they were thankful that it wasn’t too late for Kim Woo Bin to receive treatment. They said the South Korean actor started radiation therapy and is under medication.
