Kita Kita Stars In Viral Laptop Commercial, Empoy Marquez Gets New Leading Lady

Empoy Marquez and Alessandra de Rossi has yet again touched millions of fans. After “Kita Kita” comes an 8-minute Acer commercial that has since gone viral earning millions of views and thousands of shares. Meanwhile, Empoy gets a new leading lady for an upcoming movie. Soon, fans will get to enjoy Empoy on screen with none other than Ellen Adarna.

Kita Kita aired in July. It became the Philippine’s highest grossing Indie film which reached a whopping P300 million mark three weeks after its theatrical release. The movie was shot in Sapporo, Japan with a P10 million budget. It was produced by Spring Films which is co-owned by Piolo Pascual, Joyce Bernal, Erickson Raymundo, and Suzanne Shayne Sarte. Kita Kita is directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo.

Empoy Marquez And Alessandra de Rossi on Acer Commercial, Empoy and Ellen Adarna in Upcoming movie

Ever since Kita Kita aired in July, fans have been wanting more of Empoy and Alessandra and the feels they got from the movie. Thanks to Acer Philippines, Lea and Tonyo are back on screen but as two strangers who meet in Singapore. Only now, Alessandra isn’t blind.

The commercial airs for more or less eight minutes. Since its posting on Wednesday, the video has earned around 5 million views and over 100 thousand shares on Facebook. The commercial features, of course, the Acer laptop help by Empoy. It was through the laptop that he gets news that he was rejected for a job application. He then sees Alessandra all smiles holding balloons. He got irritated by the fact that he was so sad and she was so happy.

Eventually, they found themselves in the same predicament saying they were both rejected and unwanted. Empoy on a job position and Alessandra on love. These two again meet unexpectedly a number of times and eventually, they become friends. Yes, Empoy becomes the consoling friend until he had to say he loved Abby (Alessandra). Abby’s only response was, “I love him.”

Towards the end of the commercial, Abby and Empoy were parting ways and saying their goodbyes. She was getting on a bus and Empoy turned around and said that if he looked at back and still sees her, they there’s a chance for them to be together. HE then says the tagline of Acer, “kasya pa.” He says, “Kasya po ako sa buhay mo.”

Fans on Facebook couldn’t help but comment on the “spark” Empoy and Alessandra have on screen. Reading the comment thread, one would see that people love the Empoy and Alessandra tandem. Watch the full video of the commercial via Acer Philippines official Facebook page below.

Meanwhile, Empoy gets a new leading lady for an upcoming movie. A report by PEP confirms that Empoy has just signed and renewed his contract with ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema. It was also in this report that confirms news that Ellen Adarna is set to be Empoy’s new onscreen partner for an upcoming movie. No further details have been announced yet but when asked about what Empoy thinks about his new leading lady, he said, “For a change.”

In a report by PUSH, Empoy also talked about his new film, “Ang Kwento ni Money” produced by Juke box Diva Claire Dela Fuenta. It airs on Oct 25 and will show the history of the Philippines and the story of the Philippine Peso. In the same report, Empoy names three people he would like to work

Now that Empoy gets to work with big celebrities, he names other celebs he would like to work with in the future. Empoy names Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Joey de Leon, and Bossing Vic Sotto.

However, fans of Lea and Tonyo need not worry. The same report says AlEmpoy love team will soon reunite for a still intitled tele serye with Piolo Pascual, Arci Munoz, and JC de Vera.
