Kevin Kwan, the author of the book, himself confirmed that the actress is part of the cast of the movie during an interview with ABS-CBN. Kris, on the other hand, took to Instagram to thank the author for the confirmation, and for “loving the Philippines and Filipinos.” What Kevin Kwan Says About Kris Aquino Speaking to Karen Davila on ANC’s Headstart, the author said that Kris Aquinot is definitely part of the film’s cast. When asked what her role was, he said he was not allowed to reveal it. However, he said that Kris will be playing “a very special part” in the film and promised that the “audiences are going to love it.” During the interview, he also mentioned that although he has not met the actress in person, he said that he had “a soft spot for her.” He shared that he also wanted to cast Filipinos in this movie. When he was asked to elaborate on his reason why he chose Kris, he simply said, “She’s Kris Aquino. She has a dynamic personality and we thought she would be perfect for this role.” Her Role Is Still A Secret Despite the confirmation, the mystery continues as her exact role in the movie is not yet known. Even Kris herself is not allowed to reveal her role. According to PEP, a netizen bravely asked her if she was playing Felicity, Feona or Eleanor, three characters in the novel. To this, the actress replied with “no I’m not” and several emojis. Fans will surely watch out for any news about what role she will be playing.
