After a long hiatus from showbiz duties, Kris Aquino made her first Facebook Live video called “This Is REAL” featuring her first meeting with Maine Mendoza or Yaya Dub of the AlDub loveteam. The Queen of All Media, as Kris is called, shared a six-minute video with her and Maine while they were on their way to watch “Enteng Kabisote 10” at the UP Town Center on November 30.
Kris’ First Public Appearance After Duterte Snub
Kris was supposed to make her grand comeback when she was scheduled to host President Rodrigo Duterte’s Town Hall Meeting at a DTI event in Davao a month ago. Duterte however was a no-show, and reports speculated that snub may have been intentional. Despite this, however, Kris seems intent on making a comeback although there are no confirmed reports yet when she will come back and with what network.
Kris and Maine – What Happened During Their First Meeting?
At the start of the video, Kris mentions that she is on her way to watch Vic Sotto’s “Enteng 10” at the UP Town Center. She then announces that she is watching the movie with somebody who she has been wanting to meet, and according to her, this is the first time she will meet her guest: Maine Mendoza.
As they shake hands, Kris jokingly notes that Main’s hands were cold: “Ang lamig ng kamay mo, pinapaniyerbos ba kita?” To this, Maine answered: “Opo, medyo.”
The conversation then shifted to Kris’ family (the Conjuangcos) being from Bulacan, which incidentally where Maine comes from. According to Kris, Malolos was were the Cojuangcos came from. She then asked which part of Bulacan Maine from. Maine replied that her family was from Santa Maria.
Kris and Maine: Birthdays and Zodiac Signs, Etc.
In between talk about places they have been to because of work, Kris found out that Maine was the same age as her eldest son, Josh. In fact, they also share the same Chinese zodiac sign, as Kris, Josh, Bimby and Maine were born during the Year of the Pig.
As they were nearing the movie theater, Kris then asked Maine where the movie was shot. Maine responded that both her and Aldrin were on set in Bohol. Kris also asked Maine whether she felt nervous about the fact that their movie was opening with another big movie, “The Super Parental Guardians.” Maine simply agreed with Kris’ observation.
Before the pair entered the cinema, several fans were allowed to take selfies with Maine and Kris. While they were walking along the hall, Kris happily waved to onlookers and fans who saw them.
Kris ended her video by thanking Maine for being with her, and then saying “This is Kris, and This is Real.”
The video currently have over 360,000 views and 2,218 shares.
