Ariana: The New Amihan Of Encantadia

No matter how painful it may be for Kylie Padilla to leave her Reyna Amihan role in the hit teleserye Encantadia, her pregnancy calls for the need to do so. However, this does not mean an end to the role. Amihan is back on Encantadia 2016. This time in the image of Ariana, portrayed by Kapuso star Arra San Augustin.

A New Amihan: How it Happened

Encantadia director Mark Reyes once said that “no one is replacing Kylie Padilla.” This is why Encantadia team found a new way to introduce a new air gem keeper. In the last scene of Amihan in the “fantaserye,” she ate a fruit in Devas that caused her ivtre (spirit) to be reincarnated. An ivtre is reincarnated through a dead body. This is where Amihan’s ivtre found the body of Ariana. This then means that Amihan is in the body of Ariana, therefore she becomes the gem’s new keeper.

Ariana, the new Amihan is portrayed by Starstruck 6 finalist Arra San Augustin. She first appeared on screen on the March 3 episode of the teleserye under the hashtag EncantadiaPakiramdam which trended on Twitter.

Kylie Padilla All Out Support for Ariana

Encantadiadiks (fandom of Encantadia) invaded Twitterverse to show support for the new Amihan. It is not only them, though, who endorsed the first appearance of the new Amihan. Alongside the fans is Reyna Amihan herself who posted several tweets of support and anticipation during the show.

She said she is happy that through Ariana, Amihan will get to reunite with her family.

Though this saddened all of the fans, Kylie said she is happy that Amihan finally found the peace that she deserved.
