La Luna Sangre Bagong Pinuno, Twitterverse On KathNiel vs Angel Locsin

Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, popularly known as KathNiel and Angel Locsin are trending on Twitter because of the La Luna Sangre Bagong Pinuno episode aired on Monday, Oct 23. It seems fans of these stars are in a discussion or argument as they express their frustration and at the same time their praise for their favorite stars. Did Jacintha really steal the spotlight from Malia and Tristan? Or is Jacintha really the star of the show from the very beginning?

La Luna Sangre premiered on June 19 via ABS-CBN. The series is the third installment of Lobo and the sequel to Imortal. Kathryn plays the role of Malia, the hybrid offspring of Mateo (John Lloyd Cruz) a vampire and Lia (Angel Locsin) a werewolf. Daniel plays the role of Tristan, son of a vampire slayer who fights to avenge his father’s death. Angel, on the other hand, plays the role of Lia at first. Upon her death in the first few episodes, she plays Lia.

It wasn’t until a few episodes in September when Angel resurfaces. Her character was a mystery then until it was revealed that she is actually Jacintha Magsaysay. It was at these times when KathNiel fans noticed that Angel or Angel’s character stole the spotlight from KathNiel. Angel addressed the issue on Twitter answering a few queries from fans. KathNiel vs Angel Locsin fans on Twitter

After the Oct 23 episode of La Luna Sangre, fans have been leaving comments on Twitter with the hashtag #LLSBagongPinuno. Apparently, Angel is Jacintha Magsaysay, the lady in red who previously tried to assassinate Supremo. Also, she is both vampire and werewolf.

This revelation stirred quite a commotion on Twitter. Some KathNiel fans called out Star Creatives saying they mislead viewers and just used KathNiel to hype the audience to watch La Luna Sangre. Others say Kathryn and Daniel’s hard work were useless saying they became supporting roles to a series where they should have been the main characters. Others say KathNiel deserve more again calling out Star Creatives to stop using their name to hype somebody else. Another says KathNiel is trending on Twitter effortlessly and not because it is being used as a tagline, while the others are asking justice for KathNiel.

Angel’s camp, on the other hand, had this to say. One said, “The best episode! I can’t move on! Angel is superbly amazing!”Another said, “Sobrang OC ng mg KathNiel fans, Di sanay na nasasapawan. Jusq.” Another fan said Jacintha slayed the night while another said Angel is indeed helping the show. Another praised Angel for her portrayal of different kinds of roles. The fan said, “When Angel can be a vampire and a werewolf at the same time. Angel Locsin can be anything. What a queen.” Others share how Angel is truly the face of primetime.

Some remain to be neutral and express their praise for La Luna Sangre while others think the plot is getting out of hand. One said she supports the series but said the story is getting a bit messy.

Whether you’re a KathNiel fan or an Angel Locsin fan, La Luna Sangre is definitely one to look out for now that the plot has taken a serious turn.
