La Luna Sangre Feb. 20, Recap

La Luna Sangre’s Feb 20 episode made everyone watching overflow with all kinds of feelings of love, hope, sadness, and pain. Starting with the epic fight between Tristan and Sandrino, all the events leading to Malia and Tristan promising (again) that they will both face Sandrino.

The episode picks up right where the last one left off, Tristan and Sandrino in what looks like an empty warehouse. After taunting and teasing Tristan with mortals as his weakness, the brothers battle it out. Mid-fight, Sandrino finds out that Tristan’s heart is beating again (Thanks to Malia.)

In the LLU headquarters, Lucho tells Jethro that the way Sandrino can get cursed ink on both his arms is by doing extreme evil, like killing family. Even the mere intention of killing is enough to get the power of the cursed ink. As Lucho says this, Sandrino punches his fingers into Tristan’s chest, absorbing his power.

In the Moonchasers headquarters, we see how vengeful Professor T has become. With the mindset of killing all monsters, he goes to where Greta is still strapped and tries to kill her. His plan went topside when she escapes instead.

LLU comes just in time to carry Tristan and one of the Moonchasers to the safety of their headquarters. Jake and Baristo barge in with poison gas, throwing it all the evil vampires, even Sandrino.

When they get back to the LLU headquarters, Jethro had a vision. Listening to him, everyone’s hearts drop. They thought that the gas killed every last vampire left in the warehouse, including Supremo. But it turns out he and his minions are still alive.

The only way Sandrino loses both cursed inks and the extreme powers they give him is by doing the opposite of what he did to get them, do the ultimate good. Sacrifice. He has to sacrifice his powers, but they all know it’s near impossible because his heart stopped beating again.

Back at the warehouse, Sandrino feels the power coursing through him. With his new found powers, he wants to recruit and create more vampires, still with the vision of making the perfect world.

In an empty room, Professor T cries to his dead partner. He regrets giving monsters a chance. He now believes they can’t be trusted and they can’t live in peace with humans. He promises to end the reign of all monsters, werewolves, and vampires alike. We see his most heartbreaking park when he burns the bodies of the dead Moonchasers and Professor Ellie.

Onto a lighter and cuter part. Everyone can feel the love, care, and concern from Tristan’s family. His grandparents still remind him to be safe and protect himself, despite the chaotic and dangerous situation. Then Apple (Maymay Entrata), his little sister, says he always tries to protect everyone. Then asks who protects him. Of course, Malia walks in and they stare at each other. Tristan slightly smiles, knowing she will always have his back.

Back to the dangerous reality, Lucho and Malia talk about how they can defeat Sandrino once and for all, time travel. They believe that if she goes back to the past, she can kill Sandrino there. She adds that if she goes back, she dies there. Tristan overhears the part about dying and quickly shuts down their plan.

The young couple argues about this. Tristan says that they promised to fight Supremo together, but Malia doesn’t want to put his life in danger anymore. Tristan doesn’t want to budge and tells her that La Luna Sangre is over. He adds that this isn’t about the prophecy anymore. They will stop Sandrino together.

Malia goes rogue?

Everyone knows that Malia is strong and determined. But she is also stubborn and confident. Her traits coupled with her deep love for Tristan, maybe we can expect her to go against what Tristan says and time travels anyway. Tristan isn’t doing so well convincing people, is he?

With its last eight days, fans have some feelings to be expressed. Here are some of them:
