The Family Comedy “Seven Sundays” Stars Pinoy Showbiz A-Listers The first reason why movie fans everywhere should watch “Seven Sundays” is because of its cast. Aside from Aga Mulach, the movie stars Filipino A-listers Ronaldo Valdez, Dingdong Dantes, Enrique Gil, and Cristine Reyes. In the process of filming, everyone on set had that sense of family instantly. Bringing out the sentiments of what it is really like to live in a Pinoy home as well as the witty, affectionate and humorous side to any Filipino family, was almost second nature to the actors. Although they were portraying roles, they could not help but empathize with their characters in relation to who they are as siblings and family members themselves. Everything is as authentic as it is meant to be. The cast even took time off from filming and went out together for a time of bonding. The story of “Seven Sundays” will surely be tugging on the heartstrings of Filipino families everywhere. The movie is about the Bonifacio siblings (Allan, Bryan, Cha and Dex) who have all the reasons not to go back home for their father’s birthday, which is already a family tradition. But, when they find out that their dad is diagnosed with cancer, they find themselves booking trips to their hometown to spend the best time together as a family. In the process, the siblings come face-to-face with their issues finding no choice but to resolve them. The title of the movie has much to do with the father’s request that he and his children spend time together for seven Sundays. Because each one has been so used to living their own lives, it has been difficult to bring everyone together. This time, with Aga’s character as the “panganay,” the siblings make a pact to spend the best seven Sundays together no matter what. The film’s trailer says it all quite simply. You have veteran actors bringing a story to life that will surely make every Filipino miss home, and most of all, miss their own families. So, if anyone needs some time off with the family, be sure to book tickets and watch “Seven Sundays.” Soon!
