Ewan McGregor speaks out about the controversy and reminds everyone that “it’s 2017.” Recently, the live-action reboot of the Disney classic “Beauty And The Beast” has caused quite a stir because of the inclusion of its first gay character. Josh Gad plays the “gay” character in the film Le Four who has an exclusive gay moment with Gaston played by Luke Evans. Director of the film Bill Condon says Josh makes something really subtle and delicious out of it.” He added that it was a “nice, exclusively gay moment is a Disney movie.” Anit-LGBTQ group calls to boycott Beaty And The Beast According to the New York Daily News, an anti-LGBTQ group called the American Family Association called fro the boycott of “Beauty And the Beast.” This organization believes that “a culture based on biblical truth best serves the well-being of the nation and families.” In the report, the group made a statement through its website saying “The ‘Beauty And The Beast’ movie is a live-action remake of Disney’s 1991 animated feature. Parents should be warned that Disney has given the green light to a strong LGBTQ agenda in a movie that targets the 5 to 11-year-old demographic market.” The group went on to say that if parents do not make a stand. Disney will continue to allow more children’s movies to advocate homosexuality. The American Family Association suggested the film “Pilgrim’s Progress” instead which is to be released in April. The report added Malaysia has already removed the film in theaters. Russia rated the movie for 16 and above.
