Celebrity couple Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo got engaged on May 17, 2016. Jake proposed during Kaye Abad’s birthday celebration in Alabang. A video of the proposal was posted on Instagram by Kaye’s close friend, Pooh.

On Saturday, December 3, the couple shared their pre-wedding film by Nice Print Photography. According to ABS-CBN, the story of the pre-wedding film wasn’t exactly how the couple met. Their imagination was more at play. In the film, Jake was a photographer who fell in love with Kaye, who he saw in an ordinary day. Kaye became Jake’s subject in most of his photographs until the two finally met in Jake’s photo exhibit.

Kaye Abad is a well known actress. Paul Jake Castillo was a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother in 2009. Kaye and Jake met in the TV show “Alyna” which was released in 2010. They’ve been friends and “barkada” since then. Friends around them saw they had chemistry but they both said they were just friends.

Kaye revealed in an interview on “Magandang Buhay” that it was only when Jake went to Europe when Kaye realized there was ‘something’ because she missed him. For Kaye, that was a bit unusual since they were ‘just friends.’ It was in 2014 when they announced publicly that they were together. Kaye said there was no courtship because it was a bit awkward for them since they’ve stayed as friends for a long time. Even holding hands would be a bit unusual because of their history.

Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo have been together for two years now and are finally getting married in Cebu this December.
