Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Since the breakout of Alicia Keys’s #NoMakeupRevolution, the growing trend is evident. In the Telluride Film Festival, Jennifer Garner walked the Red Carpet wearing jeans without lipstick and blush. She did this, not only once, but twice for her film ‘Wakefield’ and Jennifer still looked gorgeous as ever. Even reality star, Kim Kardashian made a bold minimalist statement by coming to the Balenciaga show at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week without makeup. Balenciaga. No make up today. Beauty historian Rachel Weingarten tells Yahoo that she does not think that the trend will last. But are Keys and Garner leading a celeb trend that could stick? Not according to beauty historian Rachel Weingarten. She says that the course of overdone and understated looks have been a point of discussion for decades and today she feels that people are just being more calculated with their moves as to how they look. In all honesty, Rachel stresses that even if someone says they have gone au naturalle, it doesn’t mean she really is makeup-free. She strongly believes that there are products like tinted moisturizers, pore-minimizers, or concealers. So, now what? In reality, celebrities have privileges that most women don’t like expensive skin-care routines, dietitians, products and other things that contribute to how they look. So even if they go bare-faced, they look “perfect.” With this in mind, it is better to think, then that putting makeup is a matter of choice. There is such a thing as moderation. Too much anything can go wrong, as they say. Check out what celebs think of makeup and their beautiful makeup-free pics Bright Side has come up with a list of celebrities who have gone makeup free. Each of them have their own reasons and we’d like to share these with you. 1. Amanda Seyfried is not a fan of bright make up and says that says that in everyday life she doesn’t wear makeup at all. Kate Winslet says, “I want to embrace the real me, and I want you to embrace who you are, the way you are, and love yourself just the way you are.” Need we say more? Bottomline? Ask yourself why you need to put on make up in the first place? Be discerning. The least thing we should do is to have to feel that we need to “fix” ourselves for a profile pic, for Instagram or just because people around us might think we’re not beautiful enough. Beauty resonates from the inside out. True beauty is seen and felt – makeup or no makeup. Facebook Comments
