Magnitude 5.4 Earthquake Rocks Manila, Central Luzon; Intensity 4 reported

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake jolted Manila, Central Luzon and nearby provinces on Thursday at 10:27 p.m. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said it does not expect damages but aftershocks are likely.

Quezon City, Pateros and Malolos felt Intensity 4 of the earthquake. Intensity 3 was felt in Tagaytay City, Talisay in Batangas, San Jose Del Monte and Marilao in Bulacan, San Miguel in Tarlac, Manila, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Taguig, Parañaque and Makati. Palayan City in Nueva Ecija, Bacoor in Cavite and San Jacinto in Pangasinan all reported Intensity 2.
