AlDub, Love Is..., Yup I Am that girl

Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are on the roll with their first tele-movie called “Love Is…” Maine Mendoza, on the other hand, explores more of her hidden talents as she launches her first book called, “Yup, I Am That Girl.”

Maine Mendoza joined GMA’s noontime show “Eat Bulaga” as Yaya Dub in 2015. Her career skyrocketed when she was paired with Kapuso actor and model Alden Richards. Together, they become famously known as AlDub. Their chemistry is one that caught thousands of fans all over the Philippines and then eventually, the world. Because of their popularity, they’ve had fans and followers who were collectively called AlDub Nation.

Maine Mendoza to launch ‘Yup, I Am That Girl’, AlDub on new tele-movie ‘Love Is…’

On Monday, Oct 16, Maine posted a 35- seconder teaser of her book via Facebook. The video opened with the book title, “Yup, I Am That Girl.” It then showed Maine doing a photo shoot with her crew. It closed with a snapshot of AlDub’s book cover with the text, “Coming soon to bookstores and newsstands for P295.”

It wasn’t until Oct 18 when Maine formally announced the date of her book launching and signing. Her announcement on Facebook came with the caption, “I’m so happy to announce that I’ll be launching my book #YupIAmThatGirl from Summit books, on Oct 26, 5-8 pm at Trinoma Activity Center! Registration strictly starts at 1 pm. See you there!” This post, together with a photo of her book, already has around 40k likes and 4k shares on Facebook.

Maine isn’t the only one making headlines. She and her on-screen partner Alden Richards star in the first-ever tele-movie called “Love Is…” It airs on Saturday, Oct 21, at 11:30 am. This Eat Bulaga film is directed by Adolf Alix Jr. According to Eat Bulaga’s post, it will be the “first ever telemovie that will redefine love, promise, and commitment. The story that will tell us what love is.”
