The worst thing that could happen is to send a message to the wrong person most especially if it is about committing murder. That’s what this 42-year-old man from Monroe, Washington did. He was arrested for allegedly sending a series of messages plotting to kill his Filipina wife and daughter for insurance money.
Man Allegedly Plots To Kill Filipina Wife
The man behind this alleged murder plot is Jeffrey Lytle who is married to a Filipina from Abra, Rhoda Mee Funtanilla Lytle. According to a report by ABS-CBN through TFC Balitang Amerika, they’ve been married for more than six years now. They both have a 4-year-old daughter together.
The report says Jeffrey allegedly sent a text message to a guy named Shayne. His text message read, “Hey Shayne how’s it going. You remember you said that you would help me kill my wife. I’m going to take you up on that offer.”
Motive was then evident when he supposedly said, “Life insurance is worth 1 million and if you want a bonus you can kill (their daughter). Her life insurance is 500k.” The text even mentioned Jeffrey asking if Shayne could make it look like a robbery gone bad or make it look like an accident and then gave away his wife’s workplace and time she gets off work. The last line of the text read, “I’ll split everything with the insurance 50/50.”
Man Allegedly Wants Pinay Wife Dead For Insurance
According to a synopsis sent to ABS-CBN by Snohomish Country Prosecuting Office, Jeffrey mistakenly sent the message to his former boss, Robert Alexander. He then immediately called 911 and reported the disturbing message to the police.
Jeffrey was arrested and charged with domestic violence and two counts of criminal solicitation for murder in the first degree on Wednesday. One million dollars was set at his bond.
The synopsis also stated, “Jeffery initially denied sending any text message to anyone. However, when confronted, (he) admitted he had authored the text in question but never sent it to anyone and that it was just him ‘venting’ his anger at his wife.”
The report says Jeffrey denied any life insurance was involved and he had no intentions whatsoever of harming his family. He further said that the message was left in drafts and pointed out her daughter could’ve sent the message accidentally.
Meanwhile, Rhoda Mee did confirm her marriage to Jeffrey and said that they, in fact, live together. She is unaware, however, of any marriage issues that would cause Jeffrey to act the way he did.
