Megan Young Arrives In US, Prepares To Host Miss World 2016

Miss World 2013 Megan Young will be hosting the Miss World 2016 coronation night on December 18 at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland. There will be 117 women from around the world representing their respective countries fighting for the crown. Catriona Gray is this years PH bet for Miss World 2016.

On December 13, Kapuso actress and host Megan Young left for the US to prepare for the coronation night. Today, Megan Young has arrived and posted this on Twitter updating fans from the Philippines and abroad.

This isn’t Megan Young’s first appearance as host of the prestigious event. She also co-hosted during the Miss World 2014 pageant along with Welsh actor and TV presenter Tim Vincent and Mr World 2014 Frankie Cena.

In an interview back then with GMA, Meghan Young said, I am so excited to be co-hosting Miss World. I love hosting, it is truly one of my biggest passions and to be able to host such an iconic event in front of billions of viewers worldwide only a year after I was crowned is such an honour.”

Miss World 2016, Miss World Sash And Watch Miss World Live

Miss World 2016 kicked off on the 26th of November. Reigning Miss world Mireia Lalaguna from Spain will be passing the title and crown this weekend during the coronation night. According to the Miss World website, Hand & Lock is this year’s creator of the Miss World Sash. Clients for the creator include the Royal Family and other major European fashion houses. Scott Gordon Heron, head of design says, the sash is hand made, and the text is embroidered using an Irish embroidery machine.

Miss World 2016 will be televised live on December 18, 3:30 EST.
