She commented on a earlier post of Velasquez, who shared a photo of Leila and captioned it: “Our very own Miss Universe sooo beautiful!!!” Many netizens also shared their thoughts about Leila being the next beauty queen. To this, Regine replied that to her, Leila is already a beauty queen. Van Eimeren joined in the fray and said that Velasquez was the ”bestest stepmum ever.” Following Her Mom’s Footsteps? The 18-year old Leila has been said that she looks like Selena Gomez. While it is not yet known whether she will follow the same path as her mother’s, she recently made a big move from Sydney to Manila. Arriving in early January, Leila now lives with her father, her stepmom and younger brother Nate. Van Eimeren also throws her support for her daughter’s move and wishing her the best in her “new adventure” with her father. Leila was recently spotted accompanying dad Ogie during his contract signing with ABS-CBN on January 30. Even before she arrived in Manila, Velasquez already shared through social media how 2017 will be such a good year for them. And this is because Leila is coming to stay with them. Leila also launched her own blog to chronicle her “new adventure” in the Philippines as well as her passions.
