Burton’s movie, from 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment, is a story about an orphanage in Wales full of peculiar children with powers, looked after by the headmistress (Eva Green). The movie which is based on Ransom Riggs’ Novel, has earned $28.5 million in its opening weekend alone according to BBC. With 59 markets day-and-date with North America, Screendaily says it has confirmed earnings of $37.4 million. Miss Peregrine main characters Let’s get to know the main actors of Tim Burton’s film. Miss Alma LeFay Peregrine (Eva Green), headmistress who turns into a bird, Jake (Asa Butterfield) the boy who seeks out Miss Peregrine, Barron (Samuel L. Jackson) the villain, leader of the Wights and Miss Esmeralda Avocet (Judi Dench) who also owns her own home for peculiar children. What about the characters with magical powers? That’s Emma Bloom (Ella Purnell) controls air and creates liquid bubbles, Olive Abroholos Elephanta (Lauren McCrostie) manipulates fire with her hands, Millard Nullings (Cameron King) turns invisible, Bronwyn Bunley (Pixie Davies) possesses super-human strength and “The Twins” (Joseph and Thomas Odwell) who have telepathic abilities. Miss Peregrine showtimes “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” has been released in the US on September 25, so catch it in your local theaters if you haven’t seen it.
