She returns as the official Tourism ambassador of Thailand to the country. According to reports, she participated at the Travel Expo 2017 to promote her country and Thai culture. Miss Thailand As Tourism Ambassador Miss Thailand expressed how happy she was to be back in the Philippines, barely a month after the Miss Universe pageant. In an Instagram post, she captioned a photo with Thai officials taken during the expo, saying a special thanks to her country’s Tourism Authority for bringing her back. Part of her role as tourism ambassador is to promote Thai culture. Her participation in the travel expo helped her achieve that. The travel expo held at the SMX Convention Center was organized by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association. Will Miss Thailand Do A ‘Dayanara?’ Being a fan favorite by Filipinos during the pageant, many Filipinos are also wondering if Chalita is willing to try her luck here in the Philippines. She gave her Filipino fans some assurance that she is open to opportunities in Philippine showbiz that may come her way. She said that if this were to happen, it would be “good and challenging” for her. Filipino fans will be more than thrilled if this comes true. Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres made a name for herself in Philippine showbiz when she worked here after her Miss Universe. During the Miss Universe pageant, the 22-year old model made it to the Top 6, together with Miss Philippines Maxine Medina. According to reports, she became part the Top 13 as the Fan Vote winner. Over 213 million votes were cast that night. Chalita was also the first Thai contestant to have made it the Top 6 after so many years.
