Miss Universe 2017: Fans Can Now Vote For Rachel Peters, Other Favorites

Fan voting for favorite Miss Universe candidates has officially opened, allowing the public to cast votes through the Miss Universe website and through Twitter. Now, Filipino fans rooting for Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters can make their voices heard in the competition by voting.

Voting officially opened on Nov. 20, Monday and ends on Nov. 25, Saturday, one day before the live Coronation Event.

According to the Miss Universe website, voting can be done in two ways. The first option involves voting through the website, which takes fans to the official voting page. Fans must follow instructions on how to vote, which involves signing up using a Facebook profile or an email address. Each account entitles the holder 10 votes per day, which means one can vote for a maximum of 10 contestants in a day. Fans should make sure to confirm their votes in order for them to be counted.

The second option, which may be a better one for Filipinos, is to vote on Twitter. Twitter account holders need to have more than 10 followers to be qualified to vote. To vote, fans must tweet or retweet using the hashtag Miss Universe and the hashtag assigned to the contestant. For Rachel Peters, it is #Philippines.
