The coronation night of Miss Universe 2017 was held at the Axis Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Philippines’ bet Rachel Peters brings pride to the Philippines making it part of the Top 10 finalists our of 92 ladies from around the world. The Philippines has won the crown and title in 2015. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has indeed brought pride to the Philippines as being one of the most popular queens for being confidently beautiful. Plus, thanks to Steve Harvey and the whole controversy of the announcement of winners, the 2015 pageant is one that will never be forgotten. This year, Miss Universe hails from Rachel Peters Journey to Top 10, Twitterverse reacts During the coronation night, the Top 16 finalists were announced. Four contestants from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific, and then four Wild Cards. From there, the Top 10, Top 5 and Top 3 contestants were chosen and then the winner. Filipinos were a bit worried when Rachel Peters’ name wasn’t announced as part of the ladies from Africa and Asia Pacific. She had one chance to make it and that was becoming part of the Wild Card. True enough, Rachel was the first to be called as part of the Wild Card. The Philippines was indeed part of the Top 16 finalists. After Top 16 was the announcement of Top 10. Rachel made it to the top 10 and was the third to be announced. Top 10 were Venezuela, USA, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Thailand, and Jamaica. At this point on Twitter, the hashtag #philippines and Go Rachel went trending. The whole Philippines was indeed united in supporting Rachel Peters during the pageant. The Top 5 were announced right after. Unfortunately, Rachel Peters didn’t make it. But being part of the Top 10 out of 92 ladies from across the world brings pride to the Philippines indeed.
