PH Bet Rachel Peters On Miss Universe 2017, Live Blog

Miss Universe PH bet Rachel Peters is with ninety-two other ladies from around the world at the Axis Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas for Miss Universe 2017. Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere of France is set to pass on the crown to the next reigning queen. The big question is, will the Philippines bet Rachel Peters make it to the Top 16 finalists? Or better yet, will she win the crown and the title?

Miss Universe 2017 is taking on a new way of announcing the Top 16 Finalists and the winners. There will be four contestants from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific, and then four Wild Cards. From there, the Top contestants will be chosen and then the winner.

Philippines Bet Rachel Peters On Miss Universe 2017: Wild Card And Top 10

Steve Harvey started with the announcement of the contestants from Africa and Asia Pacific. PH bet Rachel Peters wasn’t among the four who were called. At this point, fans hoped that Rachel was part of the Wild Card, which was going to be announced after finalists from Americas, and Europe were called.

After the announcement of the twelve finalists. The Wild Card contestants were announced. PH bet Rachel Peters was the first name to be announced as one of the Wild Cards. When Rachel’s name was called, she said, “It’s such an honor, it means the universe to me.” She also said she knows the whole Philippines is just behind her during this pageant and she feels the support of the whole country. She was joined by Venezuela, Jamaica, and China as part of the Wild Card.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is part of the judging team this year and look elegant as ever. When Steve asked how she felt about being a judge, she said, “It’s great to be back in Vegas. Now I’m a judge it’s interesting. I feel like it’s harder to be a judge than to be in Miss Universe. All of them are so gorgeous, it’s hard to pick.”

Rachel Peters makes it to Top 10. After the announcement, it was time for the swimsuit round where Rachel gracefully walked in that blue swimsuit. Top 10 were Venezuela, USA, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Thailand, and Jamaica. The Top 10 then walked the stage on their evening gowns. Rachel Peters on making it to Top 5. The Top 5 were announced after the Top 10. South Africa, Venezuela, Thailand, Jamaica, and Colombia. Unfortunately, the Philippines, Rachel Peters didn’t make it to the Top 5.

Rachel Peters isn’t Miss Universe 2017 but she certainly did bring pride to the Philippines. Among ninety-two contenders, Rachel managed to make it to a tight list of 10. Way to go Rachel Peters!
